About SeaShell

An agent that lives where you already work

SeaShell is a model-agnostic, terminal-native AI coding agent. It plans, edits, and ships from your shell, on your machine, with your own models.

Why SeaShell exists

AI coding tools keep pulling developers out of the place they actually work. Into a browser tab, a web editor, a chat window that cannot see the repo. SeaShell is the opposite bet. The terminal is where real work already happens, so the agent should live there too.

SeaShell plans before it edits, shows every diff, and runs each tool behind a permission you choose. It reads your stack, your conventions, and your git history, then writes changes that look like yours. No magic, no surprise edits, no leaving the keyboard.

It is open and extensible on purpose. Plugins, themes, and Model Context Protocol servers let you shape SeaShell around your work instead of the other way around. First-time terminal users can start simply, solo developers can protect client trust, private teams can keep work local, and large organizations can control their DevOps process.

SeaShell is a Syntora product. Syntora is the operating brand of Automize LLC, which is the legal entity used for contracts, assurance work, and marketplace submissions.

What we believe

The convictions behind the product

Every decision in SeaShell comes back to these. They are why the agent is shaped the way it is.

Terminal-native

A first-class TUI that lives in your shell. The agent meets you where you already work instead of dragging you into a browser.

Your data is yours

SeaShell runs on your machine or approved infrastructure with your own model routes. Your code and prompts are not used for model training by SeaShell.

Bring your own models

Run open-source, local, self-hosted, or approved models on your own compute. SeaShell is the orchestrator; you choose the model policy.

You stay in control

Plans before edits, every diff shown, every tool call gated by a permission mode you set. Nothing changes without your say-so.

Open and extensible

A free core, plus plugins and MCP servers. Shape SeaShell around your stack rather than bending your stack around it.

Own your tools

Buy once and own your version forever, or subscribe per seat for your team. No rent-seeking on your usage, no lock-in on your data.

Private by construction

We build the place. You keep the data.

SeaShell is private AI by design, not by policy. Because it runs on your compute with your own keys, there is nothing of yours for us to host, log, train on, or resell. We sell the software, never your work.
